Dot NAME Domain Name Registrations

Launched in 2001, the .NAME generic domain extension is the sole TLD intended for personal web pages only. These domain names can consist of personal or fictional names, aliases and/or other designations people are known by. At first, just 3rd-level registrations were possible, so if you wanted to book john.doe.name, you had to do that under .doe.name. In 2004, however, the registration process was loosened and second-level registrations were also permitted. Already registered 3rd-level domain names remained functional.

Through our company, you can order your .NAME domain for a time interval between one and ten years. You will be able to change the WHOIS details, to park your domain, to set up Custom DNS records, etc. You can also move over an active domain to our company if you obtain its EPP transfer code from the present registration provider and we will renew it as soon as the transfer has been finished. There are no specific prerequisites on who can get a dot NAME domain, but in order to preserve the goal behind its creation alive, the dot NAME Registry organization may check who the Registrant is and if there is no link between the owner and the actual domain name, the registration can be challenged.

The dot NAME gTLD is amongst the extensions that support internationalized domains, so we can also register a domain in any language at no extra cost. In this way, your .NAME domain will be recognized in your country or area with the proper spelling in your native language.
